During the Adobe Creative Residency Jacqui Ramrayka worked as Global Ceramics Resident alongside the V&A Schools programme.
The display in Jacqui’s studio presented her practice alongside items from the V&A collection, in particular porcelain, the story of which mirrors that of the diaspora as one of migration and reinvention. Jacqui is interested in objects that tell multiple stories; she drew connections between the historic and the contemporary and spoke to the intersecting themes of her practice, particularly the layered and shifting nature of identity.
